For Bernhard Musil, pink embodies more than just a colour - it is an attitude and an almost childlike refusal to accept the status quo.

In his series “Life is Pink” the Berlin-based photographer documents the clash between sparse, urban environments and a colour, which is associated with naivety and trash. His pictures create a slightly grotesque world that oscillates between the light and dark sides of human existence. Varying from dreary to sarcastically humorous, Musil captures moments that bear witness to a subtle resistance to the monotony of everyday life.
